uaap game one.
this sunday is a total blast!!!out of the ultimate dullness [plus the "pindot factor" i was doing with the tv set] i was heavily experiencing at the moment, i came up with channel 23 and saw The Big Dome packed with people in blue and yellow hues.
i wasn't your usual uaap fanatic but the game 1 of the 69th season of the uaap finals got me hooked. UP wasn't in the game but i cheered for Ateneo or "areneow" [conio effect!] as we called it.
it was a tight game: with jc intal and my crush chris tiu on the loose. the 2nd quarter was tied at 35 and the third quarter was tied at 73 i guess. i'm not really sure with the scores but it was a really superior game.
what i really got excited about was the last four seconds of the game. the ball was with UST. i was crossing my fingers and was praying so hard so that they can't score but alas! they did, giving them a one point lead against areneow.
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam. it ought to me a momentous victory for UST but their mistake was they left a precious one second in the clock for areneow to shoot. actually, upon seeing that ONE second, all I could utter was, "noh ba yan? sino ba namang makaka-shoot sa loob ng isang segundo ha?!" and I walked away ranting that this should be that, this should be this.
i was totally affected about the game 1 results!!!
i was frantically shouting my head off when i realized i got thirsty from all the shouting I have made. so I went downstairs again not knowing that i've missed the ONE SECOND EXTRAVAGANZA of the areneow team..
THEY WON!
"oh panalo pa Ateneo," my dad said. i saw the replay and was overly delighted about that long inbound and the fast maneuver of Kramer. it was better than an NBA game!!!
