time bomb.

finally, my calendar changed its look. just recently, i have formed a love affair with calendars. i've learned to be so dependent on them that i don't remember the day's date everyday without consulting it. yep, everyday. i stare at it and realize that time's ticking so fast. two months is all i have before i turn 18. two months is all i have to think about my long term plan. two months is all i have as a college freshman and be pardoned to be too ignorant of collegiate life.

two months. just two months and my life would eventually change. after this, without the right move, i could conclude that i've wasted most of my time just bumming around. regrets. regrets. xp

i should have given this "time issue" a shudder if not for the UPCAT results. i had my share of an incessant flood of text messages from high school mates requesting to check their names on the divine list. it was just fine with me, except for those harsh rays of the sun and the not-so-good smell emanating from the eager crowd. i'm happy for those who passed, you're brainy enough to pass the test. and i hope, you'd be brainy enough to withstand the university pressure. i feel sorry for those who didn't. God have better plans for you guys. have faith.

i just wish that the TOFI would be reconsidered for your sake, incoming freshies. i mean, i'm not an activist myself but i know your rights. i don't fight for them physically and verbally, but i do care about the UP community situation: a community i've learned to love and a community that i hope, would love me in return. xp

P.S. thanks to those who asked for their names to be looked up, i got the chance to see HIM too. blah. :D

moral is so damn good!
this is not because of the sensual scenes my dear, but because of the story itself. if you're into indie and sensible movies, you'd sure love to see this thing dating back from the year 1983, where lorna tolentino, gina alajar, sandy andolong, and ana marin were portrayed as UP students (with the AS steps and the university avenue all still the same).

though the title was a bore and the movie lacked certain technicalities such as musical scores, the ideology behind it all remains to be the focal point. it tackles more on women suppression as dictated by the society. funny how it seems that the societal issues of yesterday are still the issues of today. funny also how it seems that people were more liberal and radical before than at present. why did i say so? the movie showed many bed scenes up to the point of orgasm (am i right?) but wasn't cut. there was even a broke back scene which is terribly yucky.

see? i mean, if you're a film maker and you're planning to have sensual bed scenes, you're sure to be fired with insults and questions. what's more, the scene will be cut, no matter how relevant it is to story or no matter how good the scene was portrayed and taken.

worst, you can't get your film on the big screen.

the whole of europe, middle east, and africa.

just imagine an objective midterm exam about this and you’ll surely faint. all my printed hand outs and reviewers did not help me survive. and i admit that it's all my fault. i crammed my studying process and worse, i did not eagerly listen to my professor whenever he starts to ogle at his experiences abroad.

amazing. i failed. :'(

everything's superficial nowadays. it's a sad fact.

as i was watching mmk last friday, a new commercial from skin white lotion appeared from the idiot box (the one with the shining moments thing). something was stirring in my mind as usual and thanks to a text from bar, i was back to my senses. she was commenting on the same commercial i saw, saying that it makes everything superficial, in which, i could't help but agree.

true enough, having a fair skin is a blessing. who wouldn't want to have a glow-in-the-dark complexion and a true-to-life porcelain skin? all processes and all kind of commodities for skin whitening are out in the market that you need a week to decide on what to use and patrionize. the root of it all? plain vanity, just because for the fact that everything's superficial. just for the sake that being white is more acceptable than being dark. racism. racism.

am i getting a little shallow?

come to think of it. we're becoming homogenized because of the model lifestyles imposed by top personalities. everybody just wants to be somebody. no one wants to be against the current. no one wants to be different just because not following trends would mean you're out, and you would get your daily dose of insults, intrigues and backstabs. gee, that's scary.

just imagine a world full of conios sporting their new pair of havaianas every week. or of metrosexuals flashing their lacoste collars. or of guys having the same sticky wet look. or girls wearing tops from mango and flipping their salon permed hair. or of gays sporting the same swarovski embellished lashes. or of everybody being a metalmouth. all the same. trend fanatic. freaky.

contentment is not always the fulfillment of what you want. it's the realization of how blessed you are for what you already have."
